For tyre retailers

Put your tyre shop in front of buyers who already know what they need

Every day, South African drivers land on TyreCompare searching for an exact tyre size, like 205/55R16 price or 265/65R17 bakkie tyres, and compare live prices before deciding where to buy. They are not browsing. They have measured the sidewall, they know their size, and they are choosing a shop. Listing your stock here puts your price in that decision, and listing is free.

Free listings. No monthly fees. No contracts. No card needed to start.

The problem for independent tyre shops isn't price. It's being seen.

Most independent fitment centres in South Africa beat the national chains on price every week, then lose the sale anyway because the buyer never found out. Page one of Google for “tyre prices” belongs to the big franchise networks with big ad budgets. Competing there with Google Ads means paying R5 to R50 per click for traffic that is often just starting to research.

A price-comparison page flips that. On TyreCompare, a shopper looking at a 205/55R16 page sees every retailer's price for that size side by side: Tiger Wheel & Tyre, Supa Quick, Hi-Q, and the independent around the corner, in the same table, ranked by price. If your price is sharp, you win the click regardless of the size of your marketing department. That is the whole point: the comparison table is the one place where a two-branch operation competes with a national chain on completely equal footing.

And the traffic is warm. Someone who searches an exact tyre size has already done the hard part of the buying journey. The click you get from a comparison page is a buyer choosing between shops, not a student writing an assignment about tyres.

How listing your store works

1

Create your free account

Sign up with your email, add your store name, areas you serve, and your website or Facebook page. You start with R100 of free clicks, and no card is required.

2

Load your stock, free

Publish listings one at a time or upload your whole catalogue in one CSV. Every listing is free and shows your price next to the competition on the exact size page buyers search for.

3

Edit free, forever

Reprice, mark items out of stock, or swap product links from your dashboard any time, at no cost. Listing is free; keeping it accurate is free too.

4

Pay only for results

Clicks through to your store cost R2.50 each from your prepaid wallet. Want more? Unlock fitment-quote leads for R40, or feature your store at the top of results for R750 per 30 days.

What it costs, honestly

Listing is free. Results are prepaid from a Rand wallet, so you always know exactly what you are spending and there is never a surprise invoice. Three things to know:

  • Listing your stock costs nothing. Unlimited products, bulk CSV uploads, your public store page, and every edit afterwards are free, forever. You are never charged for being on the site.
  • You only pay for clicks you actually receive. When a shopper clicks through from a comparison page to your store, R2.50 is billed from your prepaid balance. No clicks, no spend. For context: PriceCheck charges retailers from R2.20 for a click from a general audience, and Google Ads runs R5 to R50. Ours arrive already knowing their tyre size.
  • Everything else is optional. Fitment-quote leads in your areas appear in your dashboard free; unlocking one's contact details costs R40, and leads you ignore cost nothing. Featured placement pins your store to the top of results with a badge for R750 per 30 days. Or do neither and compete on price alone.

No website? You can still list.

A product page on your own website gives buyers the smoothest path and converts best, so if you have one, use it. But plenty of excellent tyre shops in South Africa run their whole business from a Facebook page and a WhatsApp number, and they are welcome here. Your listings can link to your Facebook page, a Marketplace listing, an online store on any platform, or any public link where a buyer can see the product and reach you.

Start with the link you have today. If you launch a website later, updating every listing to point at it takes minutes from your dashboard, and like all edits it is free.

Retailer questions, answered

How much does it cost to list my tyre shop on TyreCompare?

Nothing. Creating your account, your public store page, and publishing listings are all free, whether you add products one at a time or upload your whole catalogue as a CSV. Editing prices, stock, and links is free forever too. You only ever pay for results: clicks through to your store, quote leads you choose to unlock, and optional featured placement. There are no monthly fees and no contracts.

Do I pay a monthly subscription?

No. TyreCompare has no subscriptions and no contracts. You load a prepaid Rand wallet when you are ready, and results are billed from it as they happen. If your wallet is empty your listings stay live; you simply stop accruing paid extras until you top up.

What does a click cost?

R2.50 per click, billed nightly from your prepaid wallet, and only for real people (bot traffic is filtered out and never billed). For comparison, South African price-comparison platforms charge from about R2.20 per click for a general audience, and Google Ads for tyre keywords commonly runs R5 to R50 per click for colder traffic. A TyreCompare click comes from a driver who has already searched their exact tyre size and compared prices.

What if I do not have a website?

You can still list. A product page on your own website converts best, but your listings can link to your Facebook page, a Facebook Marketplace listing, an online marketplace store, or any other public URL where a buyer can see the product and contact you. You can add a website later and update every link from your dashboard for free.

How does the free click balance work?

Every new retailer account starts with R100 in its wallet, enough for about 40 clicks. Publish your listings free, watch drivers click through to your store, and only load your own money once the free balance has shown you what the traffic is worth.

Can I change my prices later?

Yes, as often as you like, for free. Price changes, stock status, and product links are all editable from your retailer dashboard at no cost. Tyre prices in South Africa move with the exchange rate, so free repricing matters.

How do quote leads work?

Drivers on TyreCompare can request fitment quotes for their tyre size and area. Leads that match your service areas appear in your dashboard free of charge, with contact details hidden. Unlocking a lead's name and contact details costs R40 from your prepaid wallet. You choose which leads to take, and leads you ignore cost nothing.

What is featured placement?

Featured placement pins your store to the top of relevant comparison results with a "Featured" badge for 30 days. It costs R750, prepaid from your wallet, and is completely optional; regular listings compete on price alone.

How do I pay?

Everything is prepaid: you load your Rand wallet by secure card checkout (larger top-ups earn a free bonus), and clicks, leads, and featured placement are deducted from the balance. Your balance never expires, there is no auto-billing surprise, and you can see every charge in your wallet history.

How long before my store appears on the site?

You can create your account, complete your store profile, and upload listings immediately. Store profiles are reviewed by a person before the public store page goes live, usually within a day, to keep the directory trustworthy for buyers.

Your prices are already competitive. Let buyers see them.

Sign up in a few minutes, publish your stock free, and see your store next to the national chains on live comparison pages, with R100 of free clicks to prove the traffic is real.
